Arrival & Drop-off Rules

• Bus Stop Timing: Students must be at their bus stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time.
• Afternoon Drop-off Variance: Afternoon drop-offs can occur 10–15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Elementary school dismissal is at 3:38 PM; parents should aim to be home by 3:45 PM. Standard routes may vary up to 15 minutes daily (delays over 15 minutes trigger an automated notification).
• K–2 Drop-off Requirement: A parent or guardian must be visible for Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students to be dropped off. Otherwise, students are returned to the Transportation Office at Smith Elementary (Door 25). Contact 517-851-8452 if you are delayed.
• Two-Stop Policy: Families are limited to a maximum of two approved stops (e.g., home and a sitter or grandparent). Three or more stops are not permitted.

Bus Passes & Schedule Changes

• Bus Passes: Required for a student to ride home with someone else. A parent note must be submitted to the school office, which will issue an official bus pass for the driver.
• Change Cutoff Times:
  • JR/SR High School: No later than 1:00 PM
  • Elementary: No later than 2:00 PM

Bus Rules & Restrictions

• Prohibited Items: Toys, stuffed animals, and books are not allowed on the bus.
• Medications: Absolutely no medications may be transported on the bus. Parents/guardians must deliver medication directly to the school main office.
• Sibling Transfers: High school students are not permitted to ride K–6 buses home with younger siblings.

Special Schedules & WTC Transportation

• Half-Day Dismissal Times:
  • JR/SR High School: 10:42 AM
  • Smith / Heritage Elementary: 12:00 PM (Noon)

Bus Routes are updated throughout the school year.  All students pickup and drop times are subject to change. The driver will notify any changes to your students directly or with a note home to parents/guardians.

Bus Route Changes maybe emailed to the Stockbridge Transportation supervisor.

Wilson Talent Center (WTC) Schedule

• Morning WTC: Departs High School at 7:18 AM; returns ~11:15 AM.
• Afternoon WTC: Departs High School at 10:50 AM; returns ~3:00 PM.
• Note: WTC students may self-transport if approved under School Board Policy documentation filed at the high school.
