Halloween Costumes - As you begin shopping for Halloween costumes, I wanted to share a friendly reminder about our school costume expectations. Please make sure costumes are school-appropriate, comfortable, easy to walk in for the parade, and safe for the school environment. For everyone’s safety, masks that cover the face and any type of weapon or weapon replica are not permitted at school. Thank you for helping us make Halloween a fun, safe, and enjoyable celebration for all of our students! *****Please note, masks that permit clear vision will be allowed in the parade but not in the building.
Halloween Parade - Heritage and Smith Elementary students will participate in the annual Halloween parade starting at 1:30.
Here is the route.
PTO and volunteering - PTO and volunteers play a huge role in making our school community special and providing the fun activities and memorable experiences our students love throughout the year.
This week, only 5 parents volunteered for the Book Fair—that’s less than 1% of our parent community! We are so grateful for those who helped, but we need more volunteers throughout the year to keep these wonderful opportunities available for our students. Even an hour of your time can make a big difference!
Veterans Day -
Help Us Create a Wall of Honor!
We are proud to honor the brave men and women who have served our country by creating a Wall of Honor in our school! We invite families to send in copies of photos of family members who are veterans so we can recognize and celebrate their service.
Please include the following information with each photo:
- Veteran’s Name
- Rank
- Branch of Military Service
- Relationship to the Student (e.g., grandfather of James Smith)
Thank you for helping us honor the heroes in our school community and teach our students the importance of recognizing those who have served our country. Please submit all photos by November 10 for display on the wall.
