Start of the 2026-2027 School Year

Dear Stockbridge Community Schools Families,
As we prepare to begin another school year, I want to share how excited I am to welcome our students and families back to Stockbridge Community Schools on our first day, Wednesday, August 19. A new school year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, build relationships, and create memories together. Most importantly, it is another opportunity for us to come together as a community and make sure every student feels known, supported, valued, and that they feel they truly belong.
At Stockbridge, we believe that we are better when we work together. Supporting our students is a shared responsibility between our schools, families, and community. That partnership is built on trust, communication, and a willingness to listen and support one another. If you have a question, concern, or idea, please reach out. If something isn't going the way you expected, we want to know. Our commitment is to communicate openly, listen carefully, and work with you to find solutions.
Every Day Matters
One of the most important ways we can support student success is by making sure students are at school every day and ready to learn. Attendance matters. Every day a student is in school is another opportunity to learn something new, connect with a teacher or friend, participate in activities, and make progress toward their goals.
We understand that life happens and there are times when students cannot be at school. However, when students miss school regularly, those missed opportunities can quickly add up. We encourage families to make attendance a priority and to reach out to us if there are challenges affecting your child's ability to attend regularly. We want to help you, as we know every day matters.

A New Way to Stay Connected
This year, we are excited to transition to ParentSquare as our district-wide communication platform. ParentSquare will bring many of our school communications together in one place, making it easier for families to receive important announcements, messages, updates, and information from the district and your child's school.
We encourage every family to download the ParentSquare app and make sure your contact information and communication preferences are up to date. Our goal is simple: better communication, fewer missed messages, and stronger connections between home and school.
As we begin this transition, we appreciate your patience and feedback. If you have questions about ParentSquare or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to your school office.
We Are in This Together
A successful school year doesn't happen by accident. It happens because students show up, families support learning, teachers and staff give their best every day, and our community comes together around the needs of our children.
My promise to you is that we will continue working to build a school district where students want to be, families feel welcomed and heard, and staff feel supported. You are an important part of the Stockbridge family, and we want you here.
Thank you for trusting us with what matters most—your children. We look forward to partnering with you throughout the school year and celebrating all that our students will accomplish.
Welcome back, Panthers! Let's make it a great year together.
Thank you for your trust and your continued partnership.
