Smith Watch D.O.G.S.

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering.

Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father figures who serve as school volunteers. By dedicating at least one day each school year, these volunteers provide valuable support to students, teachers, and staff while being positive role models throughout the school community.

Primary Goals

There are two primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program.

  1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
  2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

How do I sign up?

Thank you for choosing to be part of the Watch D.O.G.S. program and for making a positive difference in the lives of Stockbridge students.

Once your registration has been received, you will be contacted by phone or email to confirm your volunteer date and time. Please check in at the school office on your assigned day.

All Watch D.O.G.S. volunteers are subject to a background check. Participation is contingent upon approval by Stockbridge Community Schools, which reserves the right to deny volunteer opportunities based on the results of the screening.
