We share the excitement that the electric bus opportunity presents for students and our school community. We also recognize that using electric buses is a change and want to make sure we answer as many questions as possible and share them with the entire community. We are excited to announce the expansion of the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) for 4-year-olds in the Stockbridge Community School District. Starting in the fall of the 2024-2025 school year, the program will double from two to four sections, offering more opportunities for young children.

Stockbridge Community Schools, in collaboration with the Stockbridge Police Department and the Ingham County Sheriff Department, will be hosting a school safety training exercise. This event will also involve various departments from around the region, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated training experience.

We are pleased to inform our community about an important upcoming event. On August 6, 2024, there will be a vote to renew our existing school millage. This renewal is critical to maintaining the high standards of education and the quality of facilities that our students and teachers currently enjoy.
This is not an increase in annual taxes; it is a renewal of an existing millage. This renewal does not affect most homeowners at all, only non-homestead properties. By renewing this millage, we ensure continued funding without increasing the tax rate.
